I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer! Below you
will find information on important updates on Advanced Opportunities (AO).
AO Portal Launch
2.0: Updates to Advanced Opportunities have been released. Next time
you log into the portal, you will find several additional links, as well as
thorough history on each course entered into the portal. We will be working
over the summer to update all of our training materials, including User Manuals and How-To Videos.
Dates for AO Portal:
Student registration dates are now set at the state level. These were
developed in collaboration with course providers. The dates are set in portal are
listed below. If, for some reason, your district needs to set different dates,
please contact me or your regional specialist, and we can make the
modification. Please note that deviation from the set dates will require you to
collaborate with your course providers.

Students can create accounts at any time, however, they
cannot apply for Fast Forward funds outside of the Student Access Window. School and District personnel will still be
able to access this information after the Data Entry window. However, keep in
mind that the time between the Data Entry Window and the Submission Deadline
should be focused on verifying, validating, and matching data, NOT entering new
funding requests.
Region 3 & 4
Coordinator: Jodi Hickenlooper is no longer with the Advanced
Opportunities team, as she has taken a position elsewhere. We will sincerely
miss having her on our team. If you work
in a district in either region 3 or 4, please send all inquiries to me.
District Personnel
Changes: Over the summer time there are often many personnel
changes. If you, or a colleague who
works with Advanced Opportunities is changing positions, please notify us of
the change. For the sake of student privacy we want to ensure that the correct people
working directly with the students have access to privileged information. Additionally, we would like to keep our
contact list updated as much as we can.

Opportunities website under the “Training Tab”.
AO Conference:
Today is the last day to
register for the conference at the reduced rate of $125.00, please register
as soon as possible. We are looking forward to a wonderful event! Please
remember that space will be limited to 200 attendees.
